  • Can't see the ingredient doses

Today we got this Elm & Rye Fat Burner Review for you. Our team will be analyzing it to see if it’s safe and effective for weight loss, energy-boosting, appetite suppression, and other benefits. How does it compare to other fat burners on the market? Let’s take a closer look!

[ELM & RYE FAT BURNER AT A GLANCE] Elm & Rye Fat Burner is comprised of all-natural ingredients, some of which are our favorite for burning fat and boosting your metabolism. That said, the biggest issue with Elm & Rye Fat Burner is the lack of transparency. There’s no ingredient label, you can’t see supplement facts, and the ingredients are all lumped together in a proprietary blend so you can’t see their doses. With unknown amounts of caffeine in it, there’s also a risk of side effects. Should a supplement that costs $84.99 for 30 servings have these issues? We don’t think it should! In terms of fat burning and pure value for money, there are better options available on the market right now.

About Elm and Rye Fat Burner

Elm & Rye Fat Burner is a natural supplement designed to nudge your body to burn more fat. It consists of herbs, vitamins and other nutrients that, according to the manufacturer, will increase your energy, boost metabolic rate, and increase calorie burning. What this ultimately results in, is more efficient weight loss.

Elm & Rye go on to say on their website that their Fat Burner is “the gold standard of quality gaining credibility from some of the largest scientific journals in the world.” Now, we don’t know about that one! Elm & Rye is a new brand, so new in fact that at the moment of writing this there are no other independent reviews of its products online! We’re the first ones to inspect Elm & Rye’s testosterone booster, and now their Fat Burner as well.

Obviously, it’s a misleading claim that scientific journals are already talking about their supplement. Most supplements, even those that have been on the market for years, haven’t been studied or proven to burn fat. It’s their ingredients that have studies showing they can help weight loss. Perhaps Elm & Rye was referring to that?

In that sense, it’s best to check what ingredients are inside Elm & Rye Fat Burner and what scientific journals really say about them!

Ingredients

The ingredients in Elm & Rye Fat Burner are:

  • Niacin (Vitamin B3) (unknown amount)
  • Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine HCI) (unknown amount)
  • Vitamin B12 (as Cyanocobalamin) (unknown amount)
  • Caffeine Anhydrous (unknown amount)
  • L-Theanine (unknown amount)
  • Green Coffee Extract (unknown amount)
  • Green Tea Extract (unknown amount)
  • Ashwagandha (unknown amount)
  • Rhodiola Extract (unknown amount)
  • Coleus Forskoli (unknown amount)

Other Ingredients include:

Vegetable Magnesium Stearate, Silicon Dioxide

Most of the ingredients in Elm & Rye Fat Burner are a part of a proprietary blend, which means we can’t see their doses. You also won’t find any supplement facts on their website. This makes it difficult assessing the effectiveness and safety of this product.

You may ask, what about the ingredients themselves? We see a few great inclusions right off the bat, let’s start analyzing these ingredients in more detail;

B Vitamins

B vitamins are essential for energy production of the body. They ensure your metabolism properly converts the food you eat into usable energy. This indirectly helps prevent excess fat storage.

If you’re deficient in any of the B vitamins – which is sometimes the case with elderly people and strict vegans – you will benefit from supplementing them. On the other hand, if you already get enough through your diet, then you probably won’t notice any effects from extra supplementation.

Caffeine Anhydrous

Elm & Rye’s Fat Burner is off to a great start with these ingredients. Caffeine is an excellent stimulant that works to boost your metabolic rate and the efficiency of turning the excess body fat into energy for working out. [1]

It’s one of our favorite fat burning ingredients in general. The biggest concern, though, is that we don’t know its dose in Elm & Rye Fat Burner – too much can make you jittery.

L-Theanine

L-Theanine is a great natural ingredient for calming you down and helping you to maintain a deep and relaxed focus. If you wonder how it achieves this, it’s through the stimulation of alpha brain waves, as well as the boost in the production of sleep-inducing neurotransmitter GABA. [2]

L-Theanine is added to help balance some of the potential negative effects of caffeine. Such as anxiety episodes and depression after the caffeine crash kicks in. Note that this only happens with higher doses of caffeine, which is easily avoidable if you sensibly dose the supplement.

Again, we don’t know anything about the doses of ingredients in Elm & Rye Fat Burner. So thread carefully with those servings!

Green Coffee Extract

Green Coffee Extract is another great choice. It is an unroasted coffee bean that works as a fiber, slowing down the amount of carbohydrates your absorb. In turn, this stabilizes your blood sugar so you don’t feel as moody after eating meals.

Green Tea Extract

Green Tea Extract is a good choice, but like with all of the ingredients in Elm & Rye Fat Burner, its dosage is unknown. Green tea needs to be dosed at a precise ratio between its catechins and EGCG to ensure optimal effects on fat burning, otherwise it won’t work. [3]

Ashwagandha

Ashwagandha is more common in testosterone boosters nowadays, so it’s a bit odd to see it included here. Still, Ashwagandha’s cortisol-reducing properties are helpful for people living highly stressful lifestyles, so in that sense it’s not a terrible inclusion! Again though, we need to see its dose to see if it’s within therapeutic ranges. [4]

Rhodiola Extract

Another interesting choice in Elm & Rye Fat Burner. Rhodiola is an adaptogenic herb that combats fatigue and makes you more resistant to stress. It seems as though this product is heavily focused on fighting the effects of stress on the body, which can be a good thing when fat loss is concerned. [5]

Coleus Forskholii

Also known as Forskolin, this plant contains compounds that activate an enzyme in your body called cAMP. cAMP, in turn, helps promote fat loss. However, this effect has been hyped out of proportion; studies indicate that the effects of Coleus Forskholii on cAMP are too weak to induce any sort of significant weight loss.

Anything Missing?

There are a few ingredients missing, including:

  • GTF-Chromium for better blood sugar regulation
  • Glucomannan (Konjac Fiber) for stronger appetite suppression
  • Cayenne Pepper Extract for more effective thermogenesis and calorie burning

These are all common in the best fat burners.

But even without these, the ingredients in Elm & Rye look good. If they were dosed properly, the ingredients in this product definitely have enough firepower to help you burn more body fat.

The problem, as we mentioned, is the lack of transparency about Elm & Rye Fat Burner’s ingredient doses. It’s impossible to determine how this product will work for you, or whether it will work at all.

How to Use Elm & Rye Fat Burner

Elm & Rye comes with 30 capsules per bottle, with 1 capsule being 1 serving.

The official instructions are to take 1 capsule of Elm & Rye Fat Burner every day. Simple, yes, but is this the most efficient way to take a fat burner? We don’t think it is!

You can take a multivitamin once per day, but a fat burner? The best ones come with 3-4 daily servings to keep your body constantly fueled with fat burning ingredients. Maintaining the effects throughout the day ensures optimal levels of fat burning within the body.

Customer Reviews

Elm & Rye Fat burner is a completely new product with very few, if any, independent reviews online. As we already found out in our Elm & Rye Testosterone Booster review, Elm & Rye’s products first started getting featured in the popular news site Discover Magazine as #1 best products in their respective categories.

This is odd considering that Discover Magazine promoted completely different supplements up to this point. There might have been slight changes from year to year due to new products coming on to the market, but generally their “Best Fat Burners” list stayed similar with some of the best-reviewed fat burners that were actually good and worked. These products are now erased and replaced with three different supplements, with only one having the link to their website – you’ve guessed it, it’s Elm & Rye Fat Burner.

Why the sudden change of policy? Why promote a brand new product from a company with no track record and history of success? Why promote a product that costs more than even the current top-rated fat burners on the market, when it uses ingredients that are of lower quality and effectiveness?

No one really knows. It’s possible Discover Magazine themselves are involved with the brand. To us, this doesn’t matter as much as whether the product actually works. But as you saw in the ingredients section, that’s not the case.

Elm & Rye only has 5-star reviews on all of their products. Plus, the reviews date back all the way to January 2020, which contradicts the date the Elm & Rye company and website were founded – December 25th 2020.

Side Effects of Elm & Rye Fat Burner

Elm & Rye does contain unknown amounts of caffeine, the side effects of which are well known;

  • Increased heart rate
  • Elevated blood pressure
  • Anxiety

It’s always best to start with the lowest dosage possible before ever thinking about doubling your servings! Also, if you suffer from any kind of condition, you must speak with your physician before taking this supplement.

Price and Value for Money?

Elm & Rye Fat Burner is only available on the manufacturer’s website. You can’t buy it on Amazon or other 3rd party sites, and is only available in the UK, USA and Canada.

Elm & Rye Fat Burner costs $84.99 for a bottle of 30 pills.

Whether that is a good value for money, we’ll let you decide for yourself!

Conclusion to Elm & Rye Fat Burner Review

This concludes our review of Elm & Rye’s Fat Burner.

This product has some of the best natural fat burners inside, but they’re all hidden within a proprietary blend so you can’t see their doses.

This is a shame. Without knowing the doses, you can’t tell how you’ll react to it. Some of the ingredients could be underdosed, and some, like caffeine, can be over-done, which results in adverse side effects.

There’s no supplement facts on their website, it only has 1 serving per day (which translates to diminished effects between the doses), and a slew of other cons that makes us recommend doing more research before buying Elm & Rye Fat Burner.

For the price of $75, there are definitely better options on the market.

What’s Better?

Some of our criteria include:
